ANBID is the principal certifying agency in the market. The Association's Continued Certification Program is designed to foster a process of skills upgrading for capital markets' professionals who are in direct contact with the investors in the selling of investment products. In line with the National Monetary Council's Resolution 3,158, ANBID has instituted specific examinations designed to evaluate market professionals' knowledge of the principal characteristics of investment products. For this purpose, the Association coordinates its activities with the financial and capital market professionals by creating examining boards for preparing and reviewing examination questions. These activities are carried out with the support of the Carlos Chagas Foundation.

Two certifications are offered:

This is for certifying those professionals in bank branches with direct contact - either on a face-to-face or remote basis - with the customers in the selling of investment products. These examinations cover among other topics, the ethical standards of behavior which must be uppermost in the customer relationship so that the products offered comply with customer investment objectives and risk parameters.

Has as its principal objective the continual technical upgrading of those professionals who have direct contact with Qualified Investors in the sale of investment products. This initiative - in line with the prevailing legislation, institutes an objective mechanism for evaluating the principal aspects related to the selling of these products. The professional has to display an understanding of the principal characteristics of the products on offer, including their principal risk factors, as well as the appropriate ethical standards.

ANBID also sponsors the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification in Brazil - an international benchmark in financial planning - as a senior associate member of the Brazilian Institute for the Certification of Financial Professionals - IBCPF.
